One of the best (if not the only) website for up to date English language (which is very hard to find for obvious reasons) news and editorials concerning Venezuela and President Hugo Chavez. Among those involved in putting together the website and keeping it up is the scholar and freelance journalist based in Venezuela, Gregory Wilpert. Observers of Venezuela and Hugo Chavez looking for objective news and information would be hard pressed to find a more credible, dependable, invaluable resource.

An informative and comprehensive English news site on daily Venezuela news provided through a network of Venezuelan based journalists. Right now it seems they are in a bit of trouble due to efforts of the “Opposition” and more generally economic conditions. It seems a big loss because of their extensive English-language reporting on Venezuela, a lot of it long before any other websites focusing on Venezuela were in existence. By their own accounts they have been around at least seven years.
NARCO NEWS BULLETIN [NEWS-OPINION PORTAL]
From the name of the website you may think that this is one focusing mostly on the “drug war” and associated issues. However, this site also focuses on political developments in all of Latin America and was instrumental in a lot of very good reporting on Venezuela before great websites like Gregory Wilpert’s existed. Very editorial – opinion based.
